Wettability of Boron Nitride

As far as applications are concerned, Boron Nitride is more versatile than other high temperature materials. This is partly due to its low wettability.

Applications (examples): Hexagonal Boron Nitride is not wetted by the majority of metallic melts (Al, Fe, Cu, Zn, Si), glass melts, salt melts (Borax, Cryolite, etc.) and non-oxide slags. This is why HENZE Boron Nitride is used wherever molten Aluminium, Iron, Copper, Zinc, Silicon, Borax, Cryolite, etc., have to be handled, such as in
